Who we are

Accelerate Tutors, a division of Addison Bosman Ltd, provides online tutoring, lesson administration, learning support, and related customer support. Questions or requests about this policy can be sent to info@acceleratetutors.org.

Information we collect

We collect the information needed to operate tutoring services: parent, student, tutor, and administrator account details; contact details; student learning and curriculum information; lesson bookings and attendance; homework, feedback, and grades; payment status; communications; and files voluntarily submitted through the portal.

How we use information

We use this information to register and manage accounts, match students with tutors, schedule and deliver lessons, provide homework and feedback, process and record payments, protect users and meet safeguarding obligations, provide support, and improve the service. A parent who opts in may receive a weekly family digest at the email address on their family profile. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Google Calendar and Google Classroom data

When an authorised user connects a Google account, Accelerate Tutors uses Google Calendar data to create, update, or remove lesson events and Google Meet details. Its dedicated Google Classroom account creates and owns new classes, then invites the assigned tutor as a co-teacher and the learner as a student. It may publish a class lesson update that links participants back to the portal Calendar for the current Meet link. Tutor connections are used to publish coursework and return marks. The service synchronises submission state, returned status, and numeric grades for linked classes.

Google OAuth refresh tokens are stored encrypted. We store only the Google data needed for these features, such as connection metadata, class and coursework identifiers, linked student email addresses, submission states, and grades. We do not use Google API data to train advertising or artificial-intelligence models, and we do not transfer Google API data to third parties except where necessary to provide the requested user-facing service or where required by law.

Accelerate Tutors' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Sharing and service providers

Information is shared only with the relevant student, parent, tutor, authorised Accelerate Tutors administrators, and service providers needed to operate the service, such as payment, email, hosting, and Google services. We may disclose information where required to protect a person, investigate safeguarding concerns, comply with law, or enforce our agreements.

Security and retention

We use access controls, secure transport, role-based portal access, and encrypted storage for Google refresh tokens. No system can guarantee absolute security. We retain account and learning records only for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal, financial, safeguarding, and dispute-resolution obligations, or resolve a request.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to lawful retention requirements, by contacting us. A connected Google user can disconnect the integration from the portal and can revoke Accelerate Tutors access from their Google Account security settings. Disconnecting stops future synchronisation; it does not automatically remove records already created in the portal where retention is required.

Children's information

Parents or guardians provide and manage student information for learners who cannot lawfully provide it themselves. We use student data solely to provide and safeguard the tutoring service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The effective date above shows when it was last updated.
